patty Nalepa

Patty Nalepa has an active and longstanding background involving leadership, planning and fundraising support for many community, charitable and non-profit organizations at the local and national level.  During her tenure as President of the Hinsdale Junior Women’s Club, this Club became the largest Women’s Club in the nation and also set fundraising records for their selected charities.  As Co-Chair and Chair of the Annual USO Gala in Chicago, IL, the event grew to prominence, tripling its attendance, setting fund raising records and featured such celebrity participation as Gary Sinise, Tom Hanks and Bill Murray. A former Miss Illinois/USA Finalist, Patty graduated from Northern Illinois University and worked for the Hyatt Corporation in marketing and Public Relations for many years.  She is a dedicated mother of three elementary age children and will remain involved as an advocate, financial supporter and volunteer in many faith, educational and private and public charities and organizations.
 

THe Jericho Alliance

Evil triumphs when good people stand by and do nothing. We can stop that in Burma! This is a problem we can help solve in our lifetime, but we must act now for justice.  Several years ago when we first learned of this cause, we had much to learn about Burma, it’s ethnic people, their struggles, courage, perseverance and strong ties to the US and western world.  Our allies in WWII, the more we learned, the more we knew that they were promised better and deserve more.  Make a stand ... join The Jericho Alliance and make a difference! Forty million people are counting on it!

Jericho Alliance was formed in August, 2008 and is focused on providing humanitarian aid and emergency relief  through its partner organizations to more than 1 million internally displaced ethnic people inside Burma, who have continued to face brutal attacks by the military regime that has controlled the country for over 60 years.
