Relief teams provide humanitarian and emergency aid to the displaced people living inside Burma:. Organizations like the Free Burma Rangers are the sole means by which the internally displaced people can gain access to medical or humanitarian services; food, shelter, medicine, and counseling.

Critical Needs

The Jericho Alliance has established 10 critical needs to help the one million displaced people inside Burma. 

The dollar amounts are the annual cost required for the specific need.

  4. In the future the Free Burma Rangers hope to be able to provide relief not only from the ground but from the air.

  5. 8.Support: The Global Day of Prayer

  6. The Day of Prayer for Burma is an annual event initiated in 1997 by Christians Concerned for Burma

  7. 9.Support: Children’s Youth Hostels

  8. The Karen and Wa Hostels support children in grades one to ten, who’s parents are either dead, displaced inside Burma or in a refugee camp.

  9. 10. Administrative Support

  10. Administrative work on the Thai side of the border is needed to support the relief teams and to organize their relief missions.
